Happy Birthday in Heaven.

I have always wondered whether that meant anything. 

I have heard our loved ones who have departed from this world watch over us. I have felt the presence of my late mother through the warmth of an embrace, kindness in words, comfort of the presence of near and dear, generosity in deeds, in ways I may not have expected. There is truth in the strength of intercession of those who have left for their heavenly abode.

Therefore, I take the liberty to wish you a happy birthday in Heaven, Amma!

The last few months have shown me what an unrelenting taskmaster grief is. 

And Deja vu is about grief.
